Embed a height comparison

Show a lineup from Heightvs on your own page, drawn to scale with every name and height, the difference in words and a link to open it here. Make the lineup in the height comparison tool, choose “Share lineup”, then “Embed this chart”, and copy the code below.

Example lineup: make your own in the comparison tool and its code replaces this one.

What your readers see

The drawing above, at the width of your column up to the width you choose (760 px at most) and the height you choose, with each name and height under its figure and the difference in words. “Open in Heightvs” opens the same lineup here, in a new tab, where readers can change it and see where each height comes from.

With “Let readers add their own height” ticked, a field under the drawing lets each reader type a height, such as 5'9 or 175 cm, and stand in the lineup as “You”, with a line saying how they compare with each figure. The height stays on their screen: the frame does not save it or send it anywhere. Ticking the box sets the frame to Tall, which leaves room for the field; in a shorter frame the drawing shrinks to fit.

Where to paste it

Anywhere your site accepts HTML, such as a custom HTML or embed block in your page editor. The code is an iframe and one credit line; it needs no script on your page.

What stays out

Pictures uploaded for a character stay in the browser they were added in, so an embed draws outlines, as a share link does. For a picture with your art, use “Save PNG” on the comparison tool. The frame shows no ads and runs no analytics.

Keep the credit line

The line under the frame names Heightvs and links to the same lineup, where readers find each height’s source. For the heights as numbers, see Heightvs data; for ready-made pictures, height comparison pictures to share.
